The 1950’s bungalow has undergone a radical transformation, from an uninspiring single storey dwelling to an extensive four bedroom light filled home. To the rear of the house a 11/2 storey extension to has been formed which, at ground floor, accommodates an open plan south facing kitchen-dining-living space. The step in floor level provides this space with a generous floor to ceiling height of 3.5m. At first floor, the existing attic space has been fully converted and in conjunction with the upper floor of the extension provide two additional bedrooms, study and a family bathroom.
The fabric of the extension and refurbished attic utilise a proprietary woodfibre insulation system, providing optimal acoustic and thermal properties. The zinc clad dormers and canopy framing the large sliding doors represent the aspirations of our Clients for a modern, stylish and unique house.
