Selkirk Passivhaus

Passivhaus dwelling

The project aims to create a ‘place’, forming a special environment on the prominent site with its exceptional vistas and as an integral part of the Conservation Area. The clients’ brief is for a low maintenance, low demand dwelling, informed by the principles of ecological construction and the Passivhaus standard.

The new dwelling has adopted environmental strategies which aspires to enhance its immediate environment, whilst managing the occupants’ exposure to pollution and noise and reducing the building’s emissions to zero.
